28 Weeks (and 2 Days)

Just wanted to post a quick update. Baby Girl is now past the critical 28-week mark, and on Wednesday weighed a solid 2 pounds, 7 ounces.

I also heard a rumor that some women in my unit get wheelchair privileges once a week and can go OUTSIDE. I need to investigate this. I have not been outside in a full 6 weeks and it freaks me out.

Yay! You made it past the critical mark. You should be so proud. Agoraphobic, but proud, lol. Totally investigate the rumor about getting outside...that sounds wonderful:)

Way to go, WOMAN! Now get yourself a set of wheels and get out of that room for a while. You deserve some fresh air and sunshine about now. Fingers are still crossed, too.

I am so glad you made it to the critical milestone of 28 weeks! What a great Christmas present, better than all the rest for sure. Hang in there. ;)

Woo hoo for 28 weeks! That is such good news.

I hope you can get outside for a bit. It always does wonders for me when I've been cooped up.

I'm really impressed with you, by the way. What you are doing is really incredible. The bedrest in the hospital can't be easy. After delivering the Pumpkin, I was dying to get out by the third day! My wonderful hubby got me a wheel chair and got me outside for a bit, and it really helped my spirits so much, since I didn't even have a window.

For you to go so long under such circumstances... I'm just in awe of you. Way to go!

1) Yeah, what they all said. Srsly.

2) Okay, how does one weigh a baby in utero!?

Investigating the wheel chair option is definitely a good plan! Even when I was on strict bedrest (i.e., flat on my back not allowed to sit up bedrest) once every few days one of our nurses would be allowed to wheel me flat on my back on a rolling bed out into the court yard. Just lying there hearing the leaves rustle and feeling the sun on my skin seemed like a divine gift. I really really hope they can do the same for you (and can folks bring you in food from the outside?!). You and Baby Girl are doing so well--it lifts my heart! xxoo -Brenna
